Secondhand is a four-piece acoustic-based alternative rock band out of Madison, Wisconsin. Secondhand consists of Jake Shimon (Lead Vocals/ Rhythm/Acoustic Guitars/ Keyboards, 22), Jason Shafton (Bass, 21), Derek Arnold (Lead/Electric Guitars, 22) and Blake Arnold (Drums, 20). Formed in the summer of 2003, Secondhand has been recording since day one on Rubber Room Records (owned and operated by bass player Jason Shafton), releasing their EP Two Hours Late in early January 2004. The guys began playing shows in Madison and surrounding areas shortly afterwards in February of 2004 and has since played many shows at many venues with a large number of other Madison-area bands. Despite a busy show schedule, including a number of gigs in the Chicago area, Secondhand is busy working on their first full length LP tentatively entitled The Road to Somewhere, which will hopefully be finished before this summer.
