Nyanya (Mary Wilson-Byrom) began to literally "hear "melodies in her head when her first grandchild was born. My Nyanya's Lullabies is her first CD of original songs to soothe and remind children of their Spirit. Young children seem to resonate to the music and lyrics of her CD, and her CD is also used to soothe the elderly in nursing homes.

Several months after the lullabies, she also began to "hear" praise songs/contemporary Christian music . Her first recording in this genre is "Because You've Taught Me," written for a memorial service and in memory of her niece, Kim, who passed a way at the age of 26.

She is the mother of 3, grandmother of two, and lives in Mitchellvile, Maryland with her husband, Sam.
