My first song written "What Would it be Like" is the UKSC 2009 POP Category WINNING SONG.......Three versions on here....full vocal version with guitar solo(This one was the UKSC pop Winner 2009)....Instrumental version..... and vocal version without guitar solo........

I am very pleased with this win and to be connected with the UKSC.....A very genuine organization....This international event invites entries from all parts of the world. In Europe more songwriters enter the UKSC than the Eurovision Song Contest and many writers from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South America and Asia enter every year. Visit the contest website at songwritingcontest.co.uk for more details.

I am now working on more tracks to follow soon!

Hi Mary, are you still writing - you don't have much here?! Have you entered the UKSC again? I've just returned to Broadjam after an extended illness. Great to be back. Phil

Hi Phil, nice to hear from you, glad that you are back too! and hoping you are better now?

Yes I am still writing in collaboration with a good friend who is an amazing vocalist /writer and musical person...Michaela Jay ...... but we haven't put tracks on here on here or Myspace, but will maybe use Soundcloud more......

I am sure we did add you on FB recently? we called it Michaela-Mary- Hall-Jay and one of our tracks is on the site "In The Street" ...pleased it achieved an Honorable Mention in Song of year....and a Commended entry in UKSC........still well pleased though :)

Did you enter UKSC? hope you are doing well with your music too?

Hi Mary, great to hear you're around. Yes, I'm mostly recovered - just a few final checks to get through. I'm not quite zoned in to Facebook yet, and I'm losing track of all the sites I'm on and the connections! Congratulations with In the Street. When something gets commendations from two directions then you're getting somewhere. Yes, entered UKSC this year - 2 semis and 7 commended. But last year before I became ill was better when I entered every single category achieving either a semi-finalist or commendation or both in each. Then I came down ill and couldn't do anything with it for publicity! I've now managed 17 semi-finalists and 32 commended over the past 4 years, which the UKSC says is "an outstanding achievement". It's great but I'd like my songs to be used somewhere! Perhaps an international number one hit single in 23 countries! This is going on too long. Great to hear from you. Phil
