JimmyFastKeys - Bio

I am a singer/songwriter from Glasgow (past member of Glasgow Songwriters), writing adult contemporary/pop songs. My song writing style comes from 30 years of playing guitar/bass in various genres of bands. I have been writing songs for the past 5 years. I have gigged at many Glasgow venues. Previous reviews of my songs have identified my ability to write catchy melodies with lyrics to match, a couple can be found at Bluesbunny web site.

I have received 5 awards from the Song of the Year competition, one of which is a finalist award. This song is being distributed to American record companies and publishers. When I started gigging in Glasgow, I was approached by Jamie Duffin, a record producer with O'C Records, who had heard me as a Beanscene artist. I have subsequently recorded a few demo songs with Jamie producing.

Currently I am working on song choice, rehearsals and arrangements in preparation for recording an up and coming album, with Jamie Duffin. Some of the material has been recorded at home in readiness for taking into the studio. The album will then be mastered by his father, Graeme Duffin from Foundry Lab Music. Graeme has vast experience as a producer and session musician, playing/producing amongst others Wet Wet Wet.

At present I have a regular gig every Tuesday night at the Wise Monkey in the West End of Glasgow. Previous bookings to date have included the following venues:
G1 group, Liquid Ship, Cosmopol, Box, Capitol, Butterfly and Pig, Blackfriars, the 1901, Linen 1906.
