I write my own music for my recording projects and play with several bands doing a variety of music genres. I've released several cds including 3rd Degree Blues, Coming Into A New Age, Perseverance and Love Happens.   I also have several cds with songs co-written with my late partner Field Stark (Field & James) including I Get The Best Of You, Country Girl At Heart, and Hard To Say Goodbye.  All are available in Madison at Sugar Shack Records, B-Side on State, and MadCity Music. Smooth Sailing

I am releasing my next cd, Smooth Sailing, very soon.  It features the great vocalist Kari Wolf.  Kary and I recorded it in 2009 and it has been waiting for me to finish it.  So here it is, 16 years later, and it's ready!  It includes 9 original songs and the outstanding sax playing by Bob Corbit, my longtime friend and bandmate.  Also featured is sax man Larry Sokolowski, Tom McCarty on bass, Dennis Lynch on keys, and Ken Koeppler on drums.
