In the vein of Paramore, Metric and Evanescence, with just a hint of Depeche Mode, Can't Help Myself's music is gritty, dark and edgy.
Named after an urban legend surrounding a modern work of art in which a robot is forced to choose to save its own life or to experience self-fulfillment, Can't Help Myself is inspired by feelings of helplessness that come from depression and feelings of wanton abandon that come from a destructive lack of self-control. Their lyrics celebrate the raw experience of life and they are honest to the point of pain.
Produced by Gopal Metro, Can't Help Myself is Aster Ellen on vocals, Forest Zember on bass, and Dylan Lawson on guitar.
