Country and Troprock

Anthony Lynn Powers is a Singer/Songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Originally from California he spent most of his life listening to songs that told stories, Jim Croce, James Taylor and Jimmy Buffett were his early influences. When he moved to Oregon he started listening to Country music and the stories they told. He writes songs from his heart that he hopes will touch those who listen. He hopes that the listener will relate in some way to the songs. Some of his songs are very emotional, inspired by true events, others are just plain fun. some years ago he decided to take a shot with his music. He knows how hard it is to get that brass ring, but he also knows if you don't try you will always regret it. Pushed by family and friends (The one sided critics) he has embarked on this journey. He does not know where it's going, but he is enjoying the ride.

All of the songs that are on the site are new within the last year. The two songs I put on in 2003 needed to be deleted and they were.

I have ventured into Trop Rock music (Jimmy Buffett) It was bound to happen someday anyway. I have even wrote a Rock song and I still love Country music. As Jimmy Said "I'm growing older not up"
