TBurns lost his New England accent soon after he left home with his guitar and headed west looking for adventure. It spills out occasionally, but after years of living in the Cascades in the Great Northwest, working in the mountains of West Virginia, and eventually settling down in the upper Midwest, he has finally learned to pronounce his R's (somewhat) consistently.
Many of his songs evoke those travels. What he saw, what he did, and who he met as he made his way across the country influences the dusty, road-weary, mischievous traveler he often writes about. His distinctive guitar style, which harkens back to a rootsy, wholly American style, brings those stories to life. His melodies frame each tale and pull the listener into his characters' rich narratives.
