Hey Stephen. Email me at NeilEbanks@makemeasong.com. I had a hard time getting to this page and writing you back on Broadjam. It's not very user friendly - or maybe I'm just a dumbass. lol. Anyway, to answer your question, I emailed her early Oct for an update and she said, "Not happening this week and you should have received an email last week?? I'm here now fulfilling the lyric winner prize and Kenny/Elliot Root will be cutting/releasing singles by end of December. The showcase was shelved because the other winner decided to take the money as well.". So, I guess it's postponed for another couple months. Email me back on email. Later. Neil
Hi Dianne, You can email me at sconnella1120@gmail.com. By the way, do you know any of the fella's in the Elliot Root band or anything about their history? They seem like a pretty new band and don't seem to have a very big following yet from the google browsing I've done on them. I like their sound though. Scott has a great voice. Send me a tune if you can. all the best s
Hey Stephen. Congrats on winning the Elliot Root original song. Great song. I won the "Write to Track" side of it so we'll be hanging out soon. :) We should get in touch and collaborate! Neil - NeilEbanks@Makemeasong.com 954.558.3511
Hi Neil, Congrads to you also man!!! It's cool because both songs have really great messages , especially for these times. I have to also say and give huge credit to my best friends and songwriting / studio partners in crime Steve Webb and James Harris. They had bigger parts in writting this particular song than I did, Steve W. being the biggest part, but they were too lazy, skeptical, and maybe discouraged by the industry, to go about bothering with Broadjam or any kind of contest thing. I'm newer into the song writing thing than them and have won a couple of contests, so I guess I was more gungho and most of all I really, really loved and believed in the tune and thought it was really right for this Band. Sometimes you gotta go with that strong gut hunch, ya know. We'll be in touch and probably see you in N.Ville at some point. Hopefully most of all, this kind of "break" can be a good opprotunity for a writer to make connections in the industry and have someone to show their arsenal of songs to. yes? Good job on the song man. s
Hi Neil, Just curious if you've heard anything from Kenny Lamb or Songsinc regarding the contest winning. We've spoken with Andrea and I guess they are trying to make plans for September. Kenny was suppose to call us regarding this and a possible "re-write" of course, as "always", they want a piece of that action. Just checking and comparing notes. have you had contact with the band? thanks s
Neil, What's your status with the Elliot Root band contest win?? Did you take the $500 ?? Are you going to Nashville? We took the $500 and havnet heard a thing about them recording the tune. all the best s
