Margie Balter creates a unique niche as "Hollywood's Piano Teacher to the Stars."

Fourteen films and counting, Balter's film piano coaching career includes Holly Hunter for her Academy award-winning role in THE PIANO, as well as Tom Cruise (INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE), Scarlett Johansson (THE MAN WHO WASN'T THERE), Sandra Bullock (THE NET), Jack Black (THE HOLIDAY), Barbara Hershey (PORTRAIT OF A LADY), and Kevin Spacey (BEYOND THE SEA). Her work is also recognizable in the MGM film BEAUTY SHOP. In addition to coaching the film's stars Djimon Honsou and Paige Hurd, she composed the piece "Finding My Wings", which is featured in the film.

Balter's debut CD Music From My Heart: Solo Piano Pieces by Margie Balter has received critical acclaim from respected artists such as Taj Mahal and Thomas Newman. It is currently #1 on Music Choice Soundscapes and numerous accolades include a nomination for the 2008 L.A. Music Awards.

Balter has been supporting her new release with a series of concerts around the United States, including Steinway Hall, NYC, and The Grove, Los Angeles.
