I am a professional saxophonist, harmonica player, recording artist/engineer living in Sarasota. I moved from Detroit in 2010 and built my 3rd pro studio. In Detroit, I recorded with Motown artists from the Miracles, Martha Reeves, The Vandellas, The Dramatics, Blues musicians such as Larry McRay, Luther Badman Keith and shared the stage with musicians from top bands to include Alice Kooper, Grand Funk, Mitch Ryder, etc. I write, record and perform pop, funk, soul, blues and smooth jazz and have airplay on SmoothJazz.com.
The John Reece Project
The John Reece Project was formed to showcase the music of Detroit’s finest blues and jazz musicians.
The project includes many of Detroits finest blues, jazz, pop, soul, funk and rock artists working together to create a NEW DETROIT SOUND. The project is made possible by help from local web designers, producers, videographers, staff members of the Cranbrook Institute of Science, music attorneys, friends, relatives and the musicians who believe in the music.
The projects most recent song “The Time Has Come” is circling the world and even being play on internet radio to the troops in Iraq.
Thanks to all who helped with the project and to all who came to this website to hear the new music.
