Japhy Ryder's magnetic energy is fuelled by Michael Stanfield's provocative lyrics, infectious rhythms and insightful themes which are both intimate and global in scope. In 2001 the core of the band took form with Rick Beddia playing inspired lead guitar and Mike Kerr providing percussive accents. The sound
would be further solidified with the addition of Rob De Simone and Bobby Crane driving the rhythm
section on drums and bass.
