The 1980's were heady times for singer songwriter Deborah McCullough. Performing under the name Roni Sommers she teamed up with producers Dallas Harms and Mike Francis. Three singles charted well on Canadian Country radio. In 1984 Deborah was awarded the CCMA Vista Rising Star Award. The album "High Calibre" and 7 more hit singles followed including the self penned 1987 hit "I Wouldn't Do That To You". The album was ranked in the Top 10 Canadian Country albums by Country Music News. TV appearances on the Tommy Hunter show, Family Brown show, and Sun Country followed. During this time Deborah and her band toured throughout Canada.
Deborah has never stopped performing but withdrew from recording in the 1990s to raise her family. She is now back, better than ever, with a collection of original songs, country, bluegrass and folk flavored.
