SAUDA

Her voice, truly amazing. Her sound is comprised of jazzy soul infused with hints and delicacies of rock, and pop which all derive from her irrefutable love for the art of good music and all that it encompasses. She is none other than singer/songwriter, Sauda. She has been known to mesmerize the audience with her fluid angelic voice. After experiencing a performance by this young, talented lady you will know that she is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Her small frame produces powerhouse performances and she is hailed by many as a dynamite performer.

A former resident of Atlanta for almost 9 years, currently residing in Charlotte, NC, Sauda is moving to NYC to fulfill on her dream of being a star! She has performed with some of Atlanta’s hottest such as new upcoming artist Leo, Steven Charles, Antoine Knight, Edddie Oliver, Abyss, Brodie, Tiye Muhammed, and Koni Lee’s debut jazz CD. She opened for the Japan chart-topping success hip/hop soul duo Slick and Rose and kicked off the Centennial Park Jazz Series. Born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Liberia, West Africa, she is well traveled and incorporates these experiences in her music.

Inspired by veterans such as Marvin Gaye, Sade’, Minnie Ripperton, Rachelle Farrell, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Earth, Wind & Fire, and most of all, her father from whom her talent is inherited. Sauda has given tribute to each of them in her unique style of expression on her debut album Growin’ Pains which is available for purchase. Sauda is classically trained and began actively pursuing her music career in the fall of 1997. Along with singing, she is also a songwriter and composer.
