Lyrics

Liquid Engineers (New Version)
by Kathy Hartman
I'm on the tarmac where I creep around
And I'm frightened by the liquid engineers like you
My hydraulics are sure to fail
I can creep upon you dropping fuel silently Oh-----
All systems go Oh turn me on
Manifest check I can climb the sky's with you
Trusting you A taste of heat My aging engines whine
Oh stall Brace for impact I could die in seconds
Take me plummeting to your grave
My flaps and elevators are broken Oh-------
I'm on the tarmac where I creep around
And you stare through the glass ready for flight
I'm too old Too old to go up
Won't live another day to see the heat in the sky
My hydraulics are going to fail
I can feel it the stress on my metal frame
My air frame Is cracked and aging Creep up on you Oh---
Push the levers Push the levers
Push the heat Push the engines
Four engines one engine out
One flame bursting We're going down
We're tilting We're in a dive
Pull the yoke back No hope for life
Your life is small Your life is small
You're going down Bursting into flames
All the heat Burn the metal
All the fuel Kiss it goodbye Oh--------
I'm on the tarmac where they repair me
I'm frightened by the liquid engineers You pilots
I'm at your mercy Your at my levers
Stall stall Brace for impact Oh-------
Burn it all down I'll never live To fly again It's all over
Back to my birth Back to my christening
Back to my hanger A creeping hulk
In the darkness I sit and groan I'm looking out for you
My engines whine My engines whine
I'm taking you all down
I was in the headlines A crash A fiery crash
Everybody everywhere Bodies everywhere
Burning fuel Burning parts
The media I'm going down
The villainous The villainous
My windows become eyes Eyes to your death
I roll silently My wheels are melting on the hot tarmac
Aging No good My air frame Is no good
A broken hulk of a plane
I was once a fighter I was once a fighter
I saved many in the war
I took them up and I brought them back
And now I will bring you To your unsuspecting death
Forget your suitcases your worldly possessions
I hope you called your family
You trusted my air frame and now
You're all dead

Getting some Bowie overtones from this track. The song has good melodic vibe mixed with that driving beat. Interesting lyrics and I like the sound of the singers voice.

I love the driving rhythm of this piece. Very entertaining and intelligent effort. Everything going on in background, including vocals, really rocks. Interesting kind of song that you don't hear every day. It's like Bowie meets Pink Floyd.

Oh yeah!!! Loved this number. Very interesting and well played. I would love to see this group play live as I know they would tear it up..
