Comes from home from work, he grabs a beer, turns on the tv.
Got my new dress on, let down my hair, he barely sees me.
Every night he falls asleep in that chair,
This time when he wakes up, I won't be there.

Sometimes too much of nothing is more than just enough,
To make a woman long for another man's touch.
In a house that's full of lonely, we're a million miles apart,
If only he could see inside my heart.
Sometimes too much of nothing is more than just enough.

John Doe at the bar asks my name, I make up one.
We flirt, we laugh, I can't recall the last time I had fun.
He leans in and tries to give me a kiss,
Been too long since I've had butterflies like this.

Sometimes too much of nothing is more than just enough,
To make a woman long for another man's touch.
Damn that house that's full of lonely, I'm a million miles away,
If only he had loved me, I'd have stayed.
Sometimes too much of nothing is more than just enough.

Going back would be so easy, but,
Sometimes too much of nothing is more than just enough.

love your vocal, had a sadness to it that was very powerful and compelling. rich lyrics, something tells me you lived it.

The song grabs the listener from the start. What a fantastic vocalist who lives (rather than sells) the song. It's a beautiful melody. Superb musicianship all round. Fantastic, cinematic lyrics which really melt the heart.

Wow - what a great voice, I love its vulnerable hoarse corners, its tremor on certain notes. And the lyrics are wonderful, they fit the voice and v/v. A really great song if it were not for the music which is too prominent and vies with the voice. The voice wins hands down, but the music should support the lyrics, not compete with them.
