Story Behind The Song
Ingrid is a long term old french friend of mine, not to say one of my best, whom I have performed with in a band back in the 80s. We lost contact for about 30 years, and now, with me returning to France, and her being an accomplished woman and mother, I wanted to send her this gift, a song where she speaks to her daughter Louise with intimacy and pride and joy and emotion and... clarity ! I also draw the esquisse of her face, used in the art cover picture.
Hope you will enjoy, we made its chorus in english so it is more a universal message.

Lyrics
REFRAIN: You'll be soon a woman
Yet my only child
Loulou take my hand
You make me so proud
Mais tant d'étoiles me restent à baptiser
Tant de soleils couchants à aimer
À tes côtés
Seras tu là, non loin de moi
Loulou, trésor
N'oublie pas qui tu es, ni d'où tu viens !
Quand viendra le temps de t'envoler
Tu pourras, mais pas avant
Me lâcher la main
REFRAIN:
Even if you stand
Tall by my side
Baby take my hand
There's no shame to hide
