Thanks for your kind words BR! Means a lot. I, too, have a song that was written for a place of grief and shared at a memorial--for a 4 1/2 year old boy that died from a freak accident. "God's Big Backyard". The lyrics come from what I heard in the hospital room and touched me--it was my first song as a writer. That's why your song Talk to Me hit home. Bitter sweet... Eighteen has a couple versions. it was written through the many nights I waited up late for my wayward daughter (all is reconciled now! God is good!). Anyway, really appreciate finding your work and connecting. -Matt
Matthew I just listened to your song, "All Wrapped in A Daughter". Such an amazing song Matthew. The lyrics were very moving. While listening to this song I had to pick up my 4 year old, hug her, and told her that I loved her. You come from the heart and from your feelings. I so enjoyed this song and had to give it a 5 star rating. You are so blessed with the talent you have and in the way you express those feeling lets me know just how mprecios life is. Thank you Matthew for the kind words and glad you enjoyed my song. This song has a very dark story and it till haunts me today. It was vey hard to record this song, but it was something I did for a young girl who took her life.
Wedding Blessing is special. I do weddings and can see this being played during the unity candle lighting. Extinguishing the two separate flames and lighting one together...with God's blessing. Good work, very appropriate. Looks like a co write with the man, Carney. Great teamwork.
