Bio
Emerging from a music scene in Montreal best known for its electronic indie-pop bands, Throwback stands out as a unique export from their Canadian hometown. With influences drawn from such diverse genres as roots rock and hip-hop to jazz and folk, the foursome's music is an original blend that has put them in the company of the college rock greats that laboriously tour the New England college/prep school circuit. While comparisons have been made to the likes of Guster, Dispatch, fellow-Canadians Blue Rodeo, G Love, and even CSNY, Throwback has truly developed their own addictive fusion of harmonious acoustic pop-rock fuelled by seamless harmonies, a strong instrumental foundation, and innovative percussive techniques.
