Story Behind The Song
This was inspired by family picnics and my grandfather, who always toasted with "Nostrovia." I simply thought it was another toast - "cheers." After some research, I learned that it conveys much more than just "cheers."
It means "to good health" and "bless you." More importantly, it's an expression of gratitude for being able to share food and drink with loved ones.

Lyrics
Let's have ourselves a picnic
It's such a sunny day
The skies are blue, the flowers bloom
The children, they all play
We'll call up all our family
And the neighbors, too
Just like how it used to be
A Polish barbecue
You set the table, I'll pour the wine
Say grace, together, then we can dine
Nos-tro-via! We sing before we drink.
Nos-tro-via! Let's hear the glasses clink.
We're thankful for the bread and wine
And blessings from above
Nos-tro-via! Let's drink to those we love!
Uncle Ed is cracking jokes
Aunt Carol rolls her eyes
Cousin Frank puts out his smoke
To have a slice of pie
Grandma and her girlfriends
Catch up on all the news
While Grandpa and the menfolk
Are out playing horseshoes
Back at the table, we'll have more wine
Drink to good fortune, from The Divine
[CHORUS]
It's been such a lovely day
But it's getting late
There's too much food to put away
So grab another plate
Don't cry because the day is done
And it's time to go
Remember all the joy and fun
And how we love you so
Pick up the table, empty the wine
We'll get together another time
[CHORUS]
