Story Behind The Song
Cadie Calhoun sang backup on another one of my songs called Dance The Night Away. I liked her voice so I wrote my first song specifically for a female vocalist. I wrote the first verse based on what a lot of guys do when they stare at a girl and then turn away spooked when she looks their way and then I went right to the chorus. At that point Mark Riddick jumped in and came up with some really great lines to finish the story.

Lyrics
You've been sitting there staring wondering what to do
Every time I look back you turn away too soon
I think you're cute shy looks good on you
Hey now Cowboy don't think I'm too good to be true
So come on over here boy don't be shy
Gotta make some hay while the sun still shinin'
Ain't no tellin the trouble we could find
Out here in the country where love grows wild
I don't need money You don't got a lot
All you gotta do is give what you got
I don't need a fancy car
Your truck looks fine in my lot
Just give me, give me, give me what you got
Well it took you awhile but you finally caught on
I know a Big Sky Valley where can roam
Two mustangs runnin' wild and free
No fences no rules ain't nothin's stoppin' you and me
CHORUS
Solo
Layin in your arms as the storm rolls in
Can't think of a better way for this night to end
Ain't no tellin the trouble we could find
Out here in the country where the love grows wild
CHORUS
