Story Behind The Song
I was on a small island looking back across the ocean at beautiful Bali.
It's majestic volcano, Mount Agung, dominated the north. It was surrounded by blue sky from east to west and lavished with unlimited, radiant, sunshine.
I had my guitar in my hand and a one way ticket for the boat trip back home... to my tropical paradise island of Bali.
How could I 'not' write this song?
Song Description
This song enables you to 'see' and 'hear' Paradise.
It's a sunny, happy, Balinese reggae song, which conjures up images of Paradise through lyrics such as, 'jump off the boat, shoes full of sand'.
It's interspersed with a unique, local vocal style called, 'Kecak'.
Kecak is a Balinese way of using 'voice' but it's not singing, speaking or chanting.
Through the Kecak, overlaid with 'suling' (a Balinese flute), you can 'hear' what an unusual, beautiful, enchanting and mesmerising place Paradise really is!

Lyrics
Ticket to Paradise
I like in the morning see your smile
make me happy for a while
And then I leave you all the day
to make money for holiday
Don't forget
One way ticket to...
Run away from ordinary
find a new reality
Leave you old life far behind
you gonna go to PARADISE
But don't forget
One way ticket to
PARADISE.....
wakes up in the east
PARADISE......
sunshine never cease
PARADISE.....
goes beyond the west
PARADISE.....
better than the best I'm telling you
Paradise, Paradise, Paradise, Paradise...
'Kecak'
Come on lets go and catch the boat
don't forget untie the rope
Keep my guitar in my hand
jump off the boat, shoes full of sand
