Lyrics

"Somethin' to Ease th' Pain"
I. I'm not unhappy when I'm normal.
I just wanna live life high.
I wanna stay a little crazy.
I'm gonna do this 'til I die.
II. Come on, tell me, Mister Doctor.
Why do you look at me that way?
Oh, don't you understand th' logic?
I know some day I'll have to pay.
(Chorus)
So, gimmie somethin' to ease th' pain, yeah.
Somethin' to ease th' pain.
Don't wanna go through life feelin' this way.
Gimmie somethin' to ease th' pain.

III. You say my life is passin' by me.
I say yo' life is passin' too.
I wanna feel th' best I can feel.
If I'm to live this life a fool.
(Chorus)
So, gimmie somethin' to ease th' pain, yeah.
Somethin' yo ease th' pain.
Don't wanna go through life feelin' this way.
Gimmie somethin' to ease th' pain.
(Bridge)
Gimmie somethin'. Gimmie something. Gimmie somethin', to ease th' pain.
For my stomach. For my headache. For this depression. Gimmie somethin' to ease th' pain.
IV. They say I got this way from drinkin'.
And poppin' pills and smokin' dope.
So, when you're always full tilt boogie.
A sober life's just not enough.
(Chorus)
So, gimmie somethin' to ease th' pain, yeah.
Somethin' to ease th' pain.
Don't wanna go through life feelin' this way.
Gimmie somethin' to ease th' pain.
(Tag)
Somethin' to ease th' pain. Somethin' to ease th' pain.

Here's a song with a very original topic. Basically the artist is asking for drugs to ease the pain of life, stomach, head, depression. It is a dark song, but I am sure that is what the artist intended. Starting off with a heartbeat percussion was a creative idea. Electric guitar and an unsettling ambiance characterize the introduction. This would be a great commercial for painkillers. Would probably work in a movie about a person addicted to painkillers.

Santana meets Garbage, pretty cool vibe. Sold ripping guitar and evocative vocals, great sound, very rockin.
