Story Behind The Song
The story behind the song is that of teenage angst. It tells the struggle of an adolescent, in a dysfunctional family, coming of age. This youth has been spoiled and wants to be treated as an adult, yet doesn't have the training or discipline for the responsibility that comes with it.
Song Description
The singer should most likely be male, however, females experience these same emotions, as they struggle through adolescence towards adulthood. For many, life is a bumpy road. This youth rebels and constantly argues with parents. The parents are dysfunctional and indirectly enable this child to behave irresponsibly. The child is on a road to destruction, wishes to get out, but doesn't have the will power or knowledge to do so. His/her life is a bumpy road.

Lyrics
Bumpy Road
(Intro)
(Chorus)
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy ro', ro', ro'.
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy ro', ro', ro'.
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy, bumpy, bumpy road.
Life ain't nothin' but a mother bumpy road.
(Turnaround)
I. We fuss and fight, mos' every night.
Done, done, I'm done!
Go 'round in circles. Same ol' sass.
Kiss, kiss, kiss my ass!
(Turnaround)
II. Get off my back! Stop bitchin' at.
Me, me, yeah, me!
Climb out th' window. No lights on.
Don't, don't, know I'm gone.
(Chorus)
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy ro', ro', ro'.
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy ro', ro', ro'.
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy, bumpy, bumpy road.
Life ain't nothin' but a mother bumpy road!
(Turnaround)
III. Dogs in th' yard. Humpin' hard.
Sex, sex, hot sex!
Neighbor saw it all. Call th' law.
Bail, bail, bail us out!
(Turnaround)
IV. I'm up and down. Drugs all around.
Yours, yours, yeah, yours!
Always get my way. Never pay.
You reap what you sow.
(Bridge)
I'd fly, if I could.
I'd get out th' hood.
But, purple feels good.
(Chorus)
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy ro', ro', ro'.
(I'd fly, if I could.)
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy ro', ro', ro'.
(I'd get out th' hood.)
Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy, bumpy, bumpy road.
(But, purple feels good.)
Life ain't nothin' but a mother bumpy road.
(Turnaround)
(Tag) Life ain't nothin' but a mother bumpy road!
