Story Behind The Song

While performing in Missouri a poet wrote a poem for us because he was inspired by our singing and then Linda wrote a song about how he wrote us a poem.

Lyrics

The poet brought his song to me, symetric rhyme. Thoughts he had written down, a song to him, a poem to me.
With his pen in hand consistently he wrote. We sang about that one more time as the words drifted out into the midnight blue.
Our voices filled the room as words spilled on the paper. Captured souls and butterflies inscribed in a stained glass pane.
When we took our break I said to him,"What could it be you were writing so fast as we were playing?"
He looked up and said to me,"I am a poet. You sing and play. Your songs inspired me to write these words.
These poems I've written for you, who sing so naturally. The beauty of your song is composed into my poem.
Two lovely blending voices from a heavenly realm. You sing so sweet and free- I write so naturally.
These poems I give to you- a gift for the pleasure you bring to me and those who listen so softly as you sing.
