Story Behind The Song
There is not much of a story behind this song, it is more of a statement on my part of what I like. I lived in a cabin alone in the woods for a few years, this is one of the more positive songs form that time. It was selected to be on 'Songs For a Better Planet Volume II' (http://www.abetterworld.ca/SFABPVII.html). I wrote this song in five minutes before the sun rose.

Lyrics
Quiet Life
I?m happy to be here on my own,
with just the yellow moon and the stars above.
There?s no noise, no lights, no cars, no phone,
The quiet life is the life I love.
Just another mile beyond this ridge,
There?s a river calling me I know.
I?m going to pitch my camp by the water?s edge,
Build a little fire and watch that river flow.
(chorus)
And I?m happy to be here on my own,
with just the yellow moon and the stars above.
There?s no noise, no lights, no cars, no phone.
The quiet life is the life I love.
All I need is a place to dream,
and to listen to the sound of a mountain stream.
The sweet musty earth beneath my feet,
well that?s the place where God and I, we meet.
(Chorus)
