Story Behind The Song
This song was originally recorded with a four track recorder, an acoustic guitar, a mic and a rented synth. I believe the original version was more powerful but this studio mix was the only recording I had to post. I think the lyrics explain the whole story of the song and like any meaningful number, it is different to every listener.
Song Description
I think this would be a great Niel Diamond tune. Somone with a better voice than me could really do it justice.

Lyrics
Are you listening for the whistle?
Are you looking for the light?
Run from your window, pull your covers way up tight.
Are you hoping on tomorrow?
Are you doing all you can?
6,000 years and you still place your faith in man.
It causes me to believe.
Are you searching for solutions with a gaze-less stare?
The answers right in front of you, yeah, it was always there.
But, you may see things differently because of what you're taught.
But, the truth remains the same whether you believe in it or not.
And it causes me to believe and be free.
Frustrated blindly while you stumble in disbelief,
The seed that you plant is the fruit that you must eat.
So come and take my arms and we can hold each other tight.
I will give you warmth and take the dark out of your night.
It causes me to believe and be free.
Frustrated blindly while you stumble in disbelief,
The seed that you plant is the fruit that you must eat.
So come and take my arms and we can hold each other tight.
I will give you warmth and take the dark out of your night.
We'll take a step towards learning with the innocence of youth,
We'll cast away belief and just start living by the truth.
It causes me to believe and be free.
