Story Behind The Song
I drive around England a lot, and when returning from the East of the country, I drive over the hills on the M62 motorway. The lights of Manchester are spread out in the distance, like shimmering jewels and they lift my heart. This song came from that feeling, and both singers (myself and Raevennan Husbandes) wrote verses to our own loved ones, about how we feel when we are apart, long-distance.
Song Description
The wonderful feeling of coming home to loved ones and a familiar city, after being away.

Lyrics
I spend more time on the road than I do in your arms
When my night falls, your sun rises - I'm out with the tide
I will wait for dawn to break, the road is long but I'll find my way
'Cause I've been running from my troubles, the more I fear the less I want to stay
And there's my city, lights shimmering on the skyline
Oh, Manchester you look so pretty in the night time
Hello my rain-soaked, red-brick respite...
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
When I miss you, I just tell myself to live each minute as I go
I love the journey, to move so easy, and return to the place that I know
The only thing I know that's certain is the way that everything can change
And in the wake we sway, we tumble, and our hearts are what remain
And there's my city, lights shimmering on the skyline
Oh, Manchester you look so pretty in the night time
Hello my rain-soaked, red-brick respite...
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
