Lyrics
Verse 1
Now it's quiet on the beach
Crowds drifted away
Lovers hand in hand
Footprints in the sand
At the ending of the day
Verse 2
Now it's quiet on the beach
The tide is rolling in
Lighting on the pier
Surfers they appear
On the waves dancing
Chorus:
Building castles in the sand (o o o)
Paddling in the sea (o o o)
Punch and Judy stands
Ice cream from the van
Fish and chips for tea (repeat chorus with Ahs)
Verse 3
Now it's quiet on the beach
The battle has been won
For our liberty
They gave their lives freely
Now the last soldiers gone
Verse 4
Now it's quiet on the beach
Time for us to go
Pack up the windbreak
Sand from towels shake
But memories linger on

Now it's quiet on the beach
