I wrote this song when a friend of mine told me that he was going to pick up and take custody of his adopted son. i imagined what he was going through by putting myself in his place and telling his story.

This song describes a father who is on his way to the hospital to meet his new child for the first time. He is excited and can't wait to teach his child everything he knows and to give the child his unconditional love.
