Story Behind The Song
Story was first inspired to write over the death of a friend, a boy of only 16 years to perform at his paddle out... Then, tragically, my son died a few years later just before he turned 21 and the song was performed by my band at his memorial service... I wrote this song in the first person to have greater meaningfulness... Song is inspiriational and a moving tribute to those who die... Song offers hope and healing to friends and family members grieving the loss of a loved one... Song is about life after death in Heaven above...
