Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song when I was living in Pisa Italy with a girl for the summer in 1983. I had Shawndell Marks sing it over twenty years ago but I never released it until now, always thinking I'd do a big Hollywood version of it. COVID-19 changed my thinking and I wanted people to hear it.

Lyrics
Two Hearts That Beat As One
My love, we've come a long long way, to places far away
We never thought we'd be
My love, I know we may be scared, but think of what we shared
We fought a stormy sea
Now we're drifting on, a current deep and strong
Two islands far apart, two lives no one can chart
No storm can overcome, two hearts that beat as one
My love, they're things I can't explain, but if they cause you pain
I'll hold you in the night
My love, if you become unsure, afraid in this big world
Just hold onto me tight
One love can be, something powerful and free
That can never be lost, though the seas are torn and tossed
We'll build a bridge to cross
Two islands far apart, two lives no one can chart
No storm can overcome, two hearts that beat as one
No storm can overcome, two hearts that beat as one
