Story Behind The Song
I was going through a very spiritual time period in my life where I was spending a lot of time down by the bow river reading the bible and rehersing with Sean Sabraw and Simon Martel, we had a group called Butterfield 8 at the time (before The Buccaneers). One day Sean and I were doing some jamming while sitting on the banks of the Bow when the melody line for this song came into my head. We worked at if for an hour or so and Into the Sea is the result.
Song Description
This song has many meanings. One version is about doing right and not screwing up and letting sin spill into the sea of sin that covers the world. Another meaning is about looking back and feeling good about the choices you have made in the past and were they can lead you in the future. The other is about looking a God right in the eye and questioning if he really exsists, but when you look at your children you just know that he does.

Lyrics
I think on my life and where I've come from.
What I believe and who's coming with me.
I think on my dreams and how to fulfill them.
I'll try not to spill them into the sea
Into the Sea, Into the Sea
Into the Sea, Into the Sea
The Sea of my destiny
Into the Sea
I think on his face and if he really knows me
Does he see what I see, even when he holds me
Close to his heart, is where I'll be until death do us part
I'll try not to spill him into the sea
Chorus
Now I find I coming down
How do I get back to the place that I belong?
Chorus
