Story Behind The Song
Written in a couple of hours during our stay in the MTV A CUT studios in London. As one of the tasks we
were handed out a sheet of lyrics and chords (to Anastacia?s ?Sick &Tired?) and were told to make our own song out of it. A few minutes before the task was given Bjarke had come up with a melody during a stay on the toilet and fortunately it worked as the verse line. From there on the song evolved and as we later changed the lyrics it became our own 100%. What started as a cover song as part of a MTV show ended up being our first ever real hit song. Actually we recorded the song at the famous Abbey Road during the A CUT show, but decided to re-record it with Marco in Gula afterwards. So yes, we made a demo in Abbey Road (!)
Song Description
The song refers to the desire we all have to sometimes break out of the daily routine and pursue a certain dream. When all Mondays look the same it might be time to rethink your life. On the other hand it?s also about giving all up for fame and fortune.

Lyrics
Monday?s always the same
Monday?s always the same
I gotta tell you this is something neither you or me controls no more
No education, not a school or any book could teach you this, I?m sure
He lived a normal life
Am I supposed to feel ashamed
He had a lovely wife
Am I to blame? ?Cause
I?m sick and tired of always being sick and tired
I?m sick and tired of always being sick and tired
Don?t ever question my ability to break out, I?m hardcore
You got your game shows, your fannypacks and doggy bags, but I want more
Worked in the factory
It never did me any good
Now he?s on Channel 3
Now there?s your proof, ?cause
Mondays look the same
So that?s what you get, when you never get it
What about my fame?
I should warn you
It won?t be the same
