Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song not long after hitting rock bottom in mid 2012. This song reminded me to stop and breathe and think positively toward the future, that the worst was over.

Take A Breath
Written by: Terese Millhouse
TAKE A BREATH
VERSE ONE
Take a breath, let it all go
The worries drift away, the smile begins to show
Take a breath, there's nothing left to fear
The candle's burning brighter, the warmth dries one last tear
The darker shades are lighter, the rainbow's curving clear
Take a breath
VERSE TWO
Take a breath, come back to life
Damage was done, but we're out the other side
Take a breath, the pain fades away
Together we are fighters, let's find what's meant to be
We can hold our heads higher and see it's you and me
Take a breath
BRIDGE
When memories try to bind you, cut them free
Look them in the face and say you can't hurt me
No-one's to blame when the sickness came and took your mind away
But never forget, it's not over yet
VERSE THREE
Take a breath, open your eyes
Feel the glow within and bring out the light
Take a breath, exhale and you 'll see
The weight is somehow lighter, you can just let it be
The candle's burning brighter, the warmth dries all your tears
Take a breath.....take a breath......take a breath
