Story Behind The Song
I sat on a bench in Tompkins Square Park, NYC one October and thought about how great the sun felt that time of year -- not too hot and just before the weather begins to turn cold. But I couldn't really enjoy it as much as I'd wanted to -- not the way others around me were enjoying it. I wanted to be a more peaceful person.

Lyrics
When the October Sun soaks in
There's nothing that I wouldn't give...
But I can't hang around like this
Just breathing out and in
October Sun
October Sun
I unravel, not unwind
And that's how it's been my whole life
Trying to shine all the time
You got no idea what that's like
October Sun
October Sun
All I want is to close my eyes
And not think or keep track of time
Paint the sky blue
Each day as it comes
Be easy to love like the
October Sun
All I want is to close my eyes
And not think or keep track of time
Paint the sky blue
Each day as it comes
Be easy to love like the
October Sun
