You Close the Third Eye First

Story Behind The Song

Susan wrote this for her daughter, Hope. Hope was and is a very quick and deep thinker. Susan realized early that Hope needed to "slow down her" thoughts before she would be able to get to sleep.

Song Description

This lullaby is written for those children whose minds race at the end of the day, rather than immediately slow down. Sometimes it's easier to fall asleep when you stop thinking about all of the events of the day.

Lyrics

You close the third eye first and let your body do the rest.
You're a sleepy girl.
You close the third eye first, and let your body do the rest,
You're a sleepy girl.
You're fighting all the way,
you want to go to dreamland,
You've had a busy day.

So close the third eye first, and let your body do the rest.
You're a sleepy girl.
You're a sleepy, sleepy, you're a sleepy girl.
