Story Behind The Song
Living everyday seeing abuse of refugees and ethnic minorities in Britain while our Government stands by and watches does not go down well. This song was inspired by the bravery of these people and the cowardice of our government.
Song Description
You are, you?re free, you?re here, you?re now.
It?s gone too far.
Release, Appease and interbreed
Now you?re a star
They escape from where ever to a new life in Glasgow.
End up all over the news for the bad points.
Smile say nothing, Reject yourself.
These people are doctors, lawyers etc yet they have to sweep the streets or stack shelves
Smile say nothing, Reject yourself.
Believe nothing, Protect yourself
Despite all the community days and promises form the government they are still attacked in their homes, the street, shops.
Desperation bleeds you,
An open sore
The things that seemed so real
Not any more
Poor community, used as an excuse for the attacks etc because refugees are seen as a drain but if they were allowed to use the skills some of them have there can only be improvement.
