We Three Kings/ Greensleeves

Story Behind The Song

Heard John Faheys Christmas album and bought it years ago--I would recommend it to anyone liking guitar instrumentals. I took this to another level adding "Greensleeves" to "We three Kings of Orient are"...

Your juxtaposition of We Three Kings and Greensleeves works surprisingly well on the guitar, given that both are in three metre. Just two parts, bass and melody, gives a kind of mediaeval flavour. There is a lute-like, spare quality about the playing, not trying to be anything other than what it is. I liked it.
