The composer had grown tired of the same Holiday songs recycled ad nauseum each December. Meanwhile, in an annual ritual, Top 40 acts surface out of the woodwork to serve up their covers.
Out of this desire to break new ground, "Icicle Lights" was born. Christmasradio.com hailed it as an "excellent song", while Neworleansradio.com gushed "Great tune!"
