Lyrics

Just yesterday I was thinking about that house
every Sunday we'd get together
sit around and talk after dinner
the smell of coffee and nanas cooking
Elvis record for the mood
dessert was always a surprise
outside we had this fort
I can still see it in my head

we were young at heart
with good intent
we learn from the rest
not to fall down
even if we do
pick ourselves up
dust ourselves off
remembering the day
where we learn to grow
where we learn to grow

climbing trees falling down
hurt yourself blame it on me
we ran around where the fields were green
didn't matter how we were dressed
we didn't wear socks at all
ran around the house like we were eight foot tall
where we learn to grow
where we learn to grow
let's go back

we were young at heart
with good intent
we learn from the rest
not to fall down
even if we do
pick ourselves up
dust ourselves off
remembering the day
where we learn to grow
where we learn to grow
let's go back
to the place
let's go back, lets go back
to the place
let's go back

we were young at heart
with good intent
we learn from the rest
not to fall down
even if we do
pick ourselves up
dust ourselves off
remembering the day
where we learn to grow
where we learn to grow
we were young at heart
with good intent
we learn from the rest
not to fall down
even if we do
pick ourselves up
dust ourselves off
remembering the day
where we learn to grow

You sounded at first like Dylan, and then maybe Seger? I really liked that you had your own pattern of phrasing. Your "talking" lyrics in conjunction with actually singing was unique and added variation to the tune. Your back ground vocals added a different color as well. The instrumentation was right for this mood. Good job.

I really liked the lyrics in this song, and the great pictures you painted in my head. The bridge at the 2:40 mark was great and at that moment David bowie popped out, and Iggy pop was on back ups, very cool to me, and really liked the way the vocals played of each other at that point of the song.

nice theme ,vocals, great mix and engineering. A Little like the ole days of David Bowie or U-2--------------surprise drummer junping in there too!

A sort of existential, talkative folk-rock. Reminds me of a sharper version of the early Counting Crows. Unexpected bridge toward the third minute, followed by an organ solo.

The song has a great beat and overall vibe. The recording is well done and the lyrics seem to have meaning to the vocalist as you can tell from the emotion in his voice. the breakdown on the song is pretty cool and transitions the song well. The drums hit on certain areas pretty well. The overall message of the song is positive.

Great song very good imagery in the lyrics, love the mood and the pace of it. Vocals were well blended with the music, nice breaks in the song too. Started strong and ended strong.
