Story Behind The Song
I met a soldier from the first gulf war and he told me a story of soldiers taking drugs, watching scud missiles fly over head and getting crazy, shooting even their fellow soldiers, and in desperate need of counseling when they got home but getting none.
one of the only political songs I have written

Lyrics
He dreams peacefully of waking to a golden English summer day
A beautiful English dawn
while he sleeps in the evil calm
before the evil desert storm
Adrenalin pulls the trigger
and confusion turns to lust
and the acid aims a missile
and the shelter turns to dust
Adrenalin pulls the trigger
and confusion turns to lust
and the acid aims a missile
and the shelter turns to dust
and he flies across the desert skies
come down before he comes home
come down, come down, come down
Adrenalin pulls the trigger
and confusion turns to lust
and the acid aims a missile
and the shelter turns to dust
