Lyrics
Rosalita
Verse 1:
A- I rode into a small town in Texas,
With Pablito and my old friend Jose,
We had come for an evening of pleasure,
And a bottle of Mescal to stay
B- We sang all our songs, strummed our guitars,
As the ladies, they danced through the night,
When we'd all had our fun, and the evening was done,
We rode off before mornins' first light.
Verse 2:
A- As we headed Northeast toward the sunrise,
A vision my two eyes did see,
The face of a sweet senorita,
Rosalita Katrina Marie.
Chorus:
She had hair like a raven, eyes of the forest, lips the deepest blood red,
She was the sweet senorita from North Aboline,
Rosalita Katrina Marie
Verse 3:
A- As I gazed on this angel of beauty,
My heart it did swell in my chest,
And I knew then and there I must have her,
And forget about all of the rest,
B- So I drew and I shot poor Pablito,
Then I gunned down my old friend Jose,
When the smoke cleared, I turned to Katrina,
I cried, Girl, we must get away,
Reprise:
But I found myself standing alone there,
The girl I had killed for was gone,
And in the jail there it's told of a night dark and cold,
And the ghost on the North edge of town
Repeat Chorus and refrain 2nd half of chorus
