Story Behind The Song
Within the boundaries of a dysfunctional relationship, I once found myself tired of arguing, tired of fighting, tired of trying. I looked at my situation as futile, and for some reason made the connection that war too, is futile. No one truly wins. Each party entrenches itself in its own beliefs and lobs proverbial bombs at one another, neither accomplishing anything but hurting the other. Neither party wants to become injured, neither party believes battling is good, neither party wants to bleed in this suicide called war.

Lyrics
Here it comes once again
Here it comes creeping like a vine
Steady and sure
The elephant is in the room
buzzing with the thoughts of when to fight
A natural cure
You and I, we've made our decisions
Cradling the memories we adore
Put aside these standing free pretensions
No one wants to bleed this suicide war
When the dogs are staring down
When their hair is standing straight on backs
and showing their teeth
There's a tension setting in
A think string sweating it will snap
Stuck in a crease
So we sit to witness this
Chess players set distractions high
They nurture the lie
