Story Behind The Song
Written for the same film as 'Holding Nothing Back' was written for, there is a specific scene two guys are talking in front of a painting. It was an odd painting of a woman. Not sure what it's called or who the painter was but I remember being intrigued by this picture. In my head, the story of the painting is that of a husband/artist who is painting his wife one evening and they are having fun as she is posing for him. For whatever reason, she dies and this song is him sitting on the couch by himself talking to her as if she were still there with him. It's a lonely love song.

Lyrics
You call out the numbers. I will go and get the color
If I remember, number 22 is red.
I will wait until the morning, paint your body; perfect soul
I will honor you
Pretty little thing on the canvas over there
Watching me, watching you
Pretty little thing we had everything didn't we?
I miss you
Cover my eyes and let me see. Let me paint my memories
As I lay you down to sleep
And now it's cold outside and I can't find a color for your eyes.
I'm so cold inside. I am every shade of blue
BR: I want the world to understand
You were the breath held in my hand
I have to breathe you in
Pretty little thing on the canvas over there
Watching me, watching you
Pretty little thing we had everything didn't we?
I miss you
Every day rolls into another one more chance to lay with my lover here watching you
