Lyrics

Hurricanes

There's a tropical depression,
Way out at sea
People are waiting, see what will be
It's the time of the season,
No good reason, no good reason they come
Chorus
Hurricanes where do ya come from, Hurricanes where will ya go
Hurricanes where do ya come from, Hurricanes where will ya go,
Wo oh wo oh wo
Down around Africa, they start winding up,
Through the Caribbean's, start lining up
Hugo devastated the Carolina coast,
Andrew hit homestead, like a mighty ghost
Chorus
Hurricanes where do ya come from, Hurricanes where will ya go
Hurricanes where do ya come from, Hurricanes where will ya go,
Wo oh wo oh wo
Whistling verse
Instrumental chorus
Emily came along and terrized the sea, millions were waiting, impatiently
It's the time of the season,
No good reason, no good reason they come
Chorus
Hurricanes where do ya come from, Hurricanes where will ya go
Hurricanes where do ya come from, Hurricanes where will ya go,
Wo oh wo oh wo

I like this ballad. you must live around florida somewhere.

This is my kind of song. I absolutely LOVE it! I belong to the Florida Folk community and I know that they'd love it too. This is a really well-written and passionately performed song about hurricanes. The vocals are strong and harmonies well-placed. The guitar playing is powerful and suits the song perfectly. The hook is simple and memorable...just an all around great folk song. Favorite rhyme: Coast/ghost. We worked in the aftermath of Andrew and Katrina. This really strikes a chord and again, I loved it.

very enjoyable..well done...great folk piece

I really like this song your voice is something I could listen to for ever Your vocals were clear as a beautiful glass bell. Your storyline really its home. Are any of us really safe?
We had a powerful hurricane missed us by 12 miles....war zone 12 miles away.
I really liked your story and the simplicity of the music you sucked me in and I didn't want to leave.
