Story Behind The Song

There was an actual bartender of this name and description. Instead of wasting my songwriting on people who were bringing me down, I decided to write about someone who made me happy.

Song Description

Singer describes his relationship to "Mindy," a sexy female bartender who seems to capture her male patrons' attention as if dealing black jack.

Lyrics

She's got exotic moves and a sultry feel.
She's a virtual warehouse of sex appeal.
Her dancing, enticing, works behind the bar.
She has an arsenal of drinks and she deals them like cards.

So when my glass is near empty, I quite often find, I'm momentarily distracted by her sexy, slow grind.
I gather my senses, although dull and fog-laden and I glide over to my darling drink-dealing maiden, and I say,

Chorus:
"Hit Me, hit me, Mindy" and she gives me a wink. "I need to dance another dance, and I'm in need of a drink."
That's when she pours it in a flash, of that neon smile, and I say, "hit me, hit me, Mindy" and let's talk for a while.

Whether it's love on the rocks, or an elaborate bluff, her full house of men just can't get enough.
I don't know how she does it, when one motions to leave, she pulls a trick from her hat, another ace from her sleeve.

So now it's time for me to go because I've got an early day, but she's got me mesmerized, I can't seem to pull away. She asks me why I stay, when I've got someplace to be. I say, "It's very simple, 'cause I like the company." and I say
