Story Behind The Song
One day a beautiful poet by the name of Maya Angelou read some of my poetry, and liked it enough to contact me and take me under her wings, offering many tips and suggestions about poetry and writing in general. She especially suggested I study the poetry of Edgar Alan Poe in depth, which I did. The title of this poem, MORE THAN LOVE, comes directly from Poe's classic poem, Annabel Lee, just read it and see. I still use all of the tips Maya Angelou gave me to this very day and used them in hundreds of my recent poetry. I know that Maya Angelou is not resting in peace in Heaven, she is working With God on Heaven's poetry, because I am a lot like Maya, I never, ever rest. We both worked on poetry, or song, every single day and night. God bless Maya Angelou.

Lyrics
MORE THAN LOVE
I've looked in eyes so blue they made me soar
through all the gifts of life, this much and more
to challange me to things that could not be
unless had been aroused the very soul of me.
I've seen the smile that makes the heart to sing
and raise me to the best that life can bring
to be the very most that I can ever be
and write each word her smile has ever put in me.
I've breathed the very same and fragrant air
and for a moment had this thing to share
with she, who made my life to soar above
the limits of my own, and more than love.
I just want to be the one
I just want to be the one you love.
That's how I feel about you.
I just want to be the one.
