Story Behind The Song
This song was inspired by the campaign of Barak Obama. In the light of opposition, you should dream. Obama wasn't letting anyone stop him from persuing his dream and Martin Luther King had encouraged us to dream. The idea of the song came from realizing MLK encouraged us to dream and Obama pursued his, which he wouldn't have been able to do if MLK hadn't lead the civil rights movement decades earlier!

Lyrics
King/Obama Dream
INTRO
Don't be afraid to dream
Follow your dream
Don't be afraid to dream
Go for your time
VERSE 1
Whatever the mind can conceive and believe we can achieve, oh yes
See every little child has a dream in their heart and that's the start of who they'll be, oh yeah
So if somebody says that you've got too far to go, let them know that God's in control, oh yes
And if they say the star you're reaching for is too high, let them know that you can fly
CHORUS
Just make a wish and it will come true
Follow your dream there's greatness in you
Don't be afraid child just spread your wings
You'll see that you can do anything, go for your dreams
VERSE 2
All you have to do is just believe in yourself and you can be whatever you choose to be
Imagine and just begin to prepare in your mind and you will find the answers deep inside
And if someone says that you won't be anything, let them know that God is your King, oh yes
And if someone says that a dream is just a lie let them know that you will still try
CHORUS
Don't be afraid to dream follow your dreams
Don't be afraid to dream go for your dreams
Go for your dreams
