Story Behind The Song

Every sketch I write carries with it it's own development. This 1st idea is so pregnant with possibilities that after two years, I am still working on the finale. Initially the melody was created in one of my piano studios for a deserving student.

Song Description

The ist movement begins with a slow prelude, the them given out ny woodwinds. The working out of the theme brings a musch faster tempo. After the first development, I use a metric modulation to bring the tempo back to a broader tempos. This is the 2nd movement. The themes of both movements are rather celtic in nature and some of the most powerfull that I've composed to date. I scored the symphony for woodwinds, brass, percussion and strings.
